Biography

Astrid Van den Bosch, (1965) is a Belgian Artist, born in Deurne near Antwerp.

She began her artistic career when she was already in her fourties, however she painted for her own pleasure during her entire lifetime.  Astrid paints “independently” and is completely self-taught.

 

She creates mostly large abstract paintings mixed with different media to create depth, feeling and emotion. She has a strong and natural  feeling of using colours in her work.

 

Her work is inspired by nature and by the spiritual laws of the universe. Both of her collections stand for ‘Balance’ throughout living, a value Astrid deeply honors in many aspects of her life.
